Who controls the OpenSSL Library?

The Foundation primarily focuses on non-commercial communities and the Corporation primarily focuses on commercial communities. Decisions about the OpenSSL Library are made on a co-equal basis where the Foundation and the Corporation can operate independently and make decisions autonomously

Who controls the OpenSSL Mission?

The Foundation and the Corporation both operate under the OpenSSL Mission and are responsible for any updates or changes to the Mission.

The library is huge, and it is a struggle to know where to start. What introductory materials do you have?

We recommend that you start with our youtube channel, which contains several introductory videos

Technical direction for the project was previously governed by the OpenSSL Technical Committee.
Who is resolving technical questions as they pertain to code changes now?

The OTC will continue to provide technical guidance on code changes and issues until the Foundation Technical Advisory Committee and Corporation Technical Advisory Committee have been established (end-Apr-2025).
